Project Overview

Surrounded by greenery and nestled within a generous plot, this self-build offered a rare opportunity to design a forever home from the ground up, tailored entirely to their lifestyle and vision.

With a trusted builder already on board from a previous project, the Bissells were introduced to Mumford & Wood as a recommended supplier. Their builder had used the company before and was confident it could deliver the high-end finish the project required, especially as uPVC was ruled out early on.

“We knew we wanted timber from the start. When we met with a Mumford & Wood representative and saw a sample in our preferred colour, we were immediately impressed. That meeting confirmed we’d found the right supplier.”

Flush Casement Windows

Throughout the home, Flush Casement timber windows in the popular Pebble Grey finish were installed. Each unit features 18mm astragal glazing bars and is fitted with Black Teardrop handles, details that deliver understated character and complement the home’s blend of brickwork and render.

French Doors

In the new dining area, the design is centred on maximising natural light. Large fixed Casement windows were paired with elegant French doors in matching Pebble Grey, allowing the space to feel open and connected to the outdoors while maintaining a consistent aesthetic throughout.
