As part of a stylish redevelopment project in Whitstable, Casement and raked windows, Bi-fold doors, Sliding Patio doors, and entrance doors from Mumford & Wood were installed to bring the contemporary vision to life.
The finished result looks fantastic. We've had plenty of positive comments on the windows and doors, many people assume they’re aluminium-clad, which is exactly the aesthetic we wanted. I particularly like the smooth operation of the patio and bi-fold doors.

Project Overview
Previously occupied by a concrete-framed, asbestos-clad industrial unit, the narrow site sat between two larger buildings just moments from the beach. Keen to maintain a sleek, modern feel, the developer had originally considered aluminium-clad frames for the build.
However, a visit to the Mumford & Wood showroom proved pivotal. The quality, finish, and bespoke detailing of Mumford & Wood’s timber range stood out, offering the premium look of aluminium with the warmth and sustainability of timber. From that point, the decision was made.
The products were ordered through a local merchant, with full support from the Mumford & Wood team. All items were delivered on time and to specification, and installation by the developer went smoothly throughout.
Patio Doors
Sliding effortlessly and perfect for extending internal living spaces outdoors, the timber Patio doors were finished in a refined Blue Grey to complement the coastal setting and modern design of the home.
Bi-Fold Doors
In the expansive dining and living area, large Bi-fold doors, also in Blue Grey, were installed to open out onto a spacious first-floor balcony. This feature creates a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor zones, ideal for entertaining and relaxation.
