Project Overview

After years of working with various manufacturers that never quite delivered on finish or reliability, developer Greg Smith discovered Mumford & Wood.

Their latest project involved the construction of four luxury family homes, where every detail mattered, especially for Greg, whose own home is close to the development. “We’ve used multiple suppliers over the years, but never found one that consistently met our expectations. That changed when we came across Mumford & Wood at our local Covers merchant,” Greg explains.

“What struck me first was the quality of the craftsmanship, the operation, the finish, and the overall feel of the product. That gave us the confidence to specify Mumford & Wood across the entire development.”

To keep the build on schedule, precision timing was essential. “The delivery arrived exactly when we needed it, fully finished and ready to install,” Greg notes. “That level of reliability makes a huge difference when you’ve got trades on site.”

Once the properties were listed, it became clear that the attention to detail hadn’t gone unnoticed. “We had potential buyers interacting with the bi-folds, opening and closing sash windows, and commenting on how smooth and effortless everything felt,” says Greg. “We also opted for acoustic glazing given the proximity to a road, and the sound reduction has been fantastic.”

So impressed was Greg with the results that he has since chosen Mumford & Wood products for his own home renovation and now specifies them as standard across all of St Edmunds Developments’ projects valued at £500,000 or more.
