Quality Wooden Windows Enhance New Residential Development
The picturesque village of Stock in Essex has once again welcomed high-quality timber joinery, this time for a pair of elegant new-build homes delivered with the signature craftsmanship of Mumford & Wood.
We have used Mumford & Wood a number of times before, and their range continues to impress us and homeowners alike. We plan to continue using Mumford for future projects and are currently working on another 2 properties in Stock; the products from Mumford recently arrived, ready to fit.

Project Overview
Previously, Mumford & Wood products were specified for a striking family home in the same village, replacing a dated 1970s property. That earlier project was also completed by Silverswan Homes, a respected developer known for producing beautifully finished, desirable homes in the local area.
“This site was originally a single large bungalow,” explains Tom Wright of Silverswan Homes. “The plot was so generous that we were able to remove the existing structure and build two substantial 4-bedroom homes, each with its own large garden.”
Silverswan Homes’ reputation for quality has earned them strong demand in the region, so much so that both homes were sold off-plan well before construction was complete.
Flush Casement Windows
To maintain harmony with the surrounding architecture and Silverswan’s previous developments in the area, Flush Casement Timber Windows were chosen for both homes. These windows are finished in a soft ‘Pebble Grey’ shade and feature classic leaded light detailing, perfectly suited to the mix of render and brick façades used throughout the builds.
French Doors
At the rear of both properties, French Timber Doors were installed to create a light-filled connection between the homes and their spacious gardens. Finished in the same elegant ‘Pebble Grey’ as the windows and paired with Polished Chrome Windsor handles, the doors add a refined and cohesive touch to the rear elevations.
