Two homes are now complete on the plot, with one currently listed for sale. “I’ve carried out all the work myself,” explains Mr Masterson.
This land has been in our family for generations, and we’d always planned to make the most of it by building new homes—one to live in and others to sell. For our own home, my wife was set on a stained oak finish for the windows, so we chose a local joiner. Ironically, we both actually prefer the Mumford & Wood products installed in the neighbouring house!

The home on the market features Mumford & Wood’s timber windows and doors throughout, providing a consistent, high-quality finish. In contrast, the Mastersons’ private residence includes windows fitted by a local joiner. “My wife had her heart set on a stained oak look,” Mr Masterson adds. “But it’s clear already that we might run into issues with those windows over time.”

Flush Casement Windows
Throughout the home, Flush Casement timber windows in Oyster White have been installed. Each unit is detailed with Black Monkeytail handles and 27mm horizontal astragal glazing bars, creating a classic yet refined finish.
