Project Overview
After selling the original property and retaining the surrounding land, the Marsh family secured planning permission and began the journey of designing and constructing a bespoke new home tailored exactly to their needs.
Every element of the build was carefully considered; Mrs Marsh took the lead in planning and carried out extensive research into suppliers and materials to ensure every detail supported the traditional aesthetic they envisioned.
Now fully complete, the home strikes a perfect balance between period charm and modern comfort. As part of the development, a portion of the original woodland was sold to a property developer, leading to the creation of three additional detached homes, each quickly purchased by buyers drawn to the location and quality of the build.
Flush Casement Windows
After viewing the range in person and meeting with a member of the Mumford & Wood team, Mrs Marsh felt confident in specifying Timber Flush Casement Windows finished in crisp ‘Signal White’. To complement the traditional style of the home, the windows were designed with 18mm astragal glazing bars and Black Monkeytail handles, offering an authentic, heritage-inspired finish.
French Doors
To the rear of the property, Mrs Marsh chose two matching sets of French Timber Doors, also finished in ‘Signal White’, to maintain a consistent exterior palette. Each set includes 18mm astragal glazing bars and is completed with Black Cottage handles, perfectly enhancing the timeless appeal of the property while providing elegant access to the garden.
