Project Overview
The change of use permissions took two and a half years to secure, but the result is a successful development of eight high-spec, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments in the village of St Neots, Cambridgeshire, all of which sold quickly after completion.
From the outset, Mark was committed to quality. “We wanted every part of the build to reflect a high standard,” he explains. Taking advice from his contractor, Mark explored Mumford & Wood’s range of timber Sash windows and doors.
“Our builder recommended timber Sash windows from Mumford & Wood as a more durable, more attractive alternative to uPVC,” says Mark. “The windows needed to complement the character of the village, and I wanted something that stood apart from the lower-quality installations seen on other nearby developments.”
The result is a striking balance of traditional character and premium quality, something that hasn’t gone unnoticed. “Everyone who’s visited the apartments has commented on the attention to detail, and the windows and doors have played a big part in that.”
Sash Windows
To complement the architecture and setting, timber Sash windows were specified throughout the building. Finished in classic Signal White, each window features 18mm astragal bars, standard horns, and a hidden spring mechanism, offering the look of traditional sash operation with the ease of modern design.
