Project Overview
Following an ambitious top-to-bottom refurbishment, the property now exudes modern comfort while retaining its period charm, thanks in part to the careful restoration of its windows and doors.
Led entirely by co-owner Mr Infanti and his business partners, the project involved meticulous planning and design, with every decision made in-house. One of the most important visual upgrades was replacing the building's outdated UPVC windows with traditionally styled timber Sash and Casement windows from Mumford & Wood.
"We wanted to return the building to its former glory, and the windows were a crucial part of that. The plastic units that had been installed previously were completely out of place," explains Mr Infanti.
Recommended by a trusted contact who had used Mumford & Wood products on past developments, the team quickly saw the value in specifying high-performance timber joinery.
"We're absolutely delighted with the result. The windows have made a real difference, and we regularly have guests asking who supplied them."
Sash Windows
To revive the original charm of the façade, traditional timber Sash windows were the natural choice. Featuring elegant vertical astragal bars and a crisp 'Pure White' finish, the windows are equipped with Mumford & Wood's innovative Hidden Spring mechanism for modern ease of use with period authenticity.
Triple Sash Window
One of the standout installations is a Triple Sash window comprising a central Sliding Sash flanked by two fixed panes. Also finished in 'Pure White', it features classic vertical glazing bars and decorative sash horns, perfectly in keeping with the building's historic style.
