Transforming Newly Built Cottages with Windows & Doors
In a quiet West Sussex village, developer Paul Beamish has brought to life a collection of three beautifully crafted cottages built on a generous plot that previously accommodated a single home.

“Working with Mumford & Wood has gone so well that I wouldn’t look anywhere else for future projects.”
The Project
In a quiet West Sussex village, developer Paul Beamish has brought to life a collection of three beautifully crafted cottages built on a generous plot that previously accommodated a single home.
“We saw an opportunity to provide something new that still felt part of the village fabric. The design approach was rooted in sensitivity to the surrounding architecture, and we wanted the homes to feel like they had always belonged here,” explains Mr Beamish.
Working with his architect, Mr Beamish was introduced to Mumford & Wood, and what began as a recommendation quickly developed into a strong and productive partnership.
“The service and quality from Mumford & Wood have been excellent from day one. Their team really understood what we were trying to achieve and delivered products that fit the vision perfectly.”
The attention to detail throughout the properties has not gone unnoticed. The homes have attracted strong early interest from buyers, with the estate agent anticipating swift sales at a higher value than originally projected.
Flush Casement Windows
Each home features timeless Flush Casement windows, expertly crafted in engineered timber and finished in the ever-popular shade of Pebble Grey. 18mm astragal glazing bars and traditional Black Monkeytail handles provide a refined, heritage-inspired finish.
French Doors
To the rear of the properties, identical sets of elegant French doors were installed, also finished in Pebble Grey to complement the windows. The full-height glass panels allow an abundance of natural light to pour into the living spaces while connecting the interiors to the newly landscaped gardens.
