Project Overview

The Wentworth Estate dates back to the 1920s and was the host of the first ever Ryder Cup as well as being the home to the sister of the 1st Duke of Wellington. Set across over 1,750 acres of land, this exclusive estate has also been the home to many famous names across the years, including Sir Elton John and Sir Bruce Forsyth. As well as this, it is listed as one of Europe’s premier residential districts.

The Westbourn mansion is of Georgian architecture, constructed from Bath stone, perfectly complementing many of the other grand buildings across the estate. The finished work is stunning, and without knowing the history of the building, you could be easily fooled into thinking that this is not a new build home.

For a property of this magnitude, in an area as renowned as Wentworth, timber was the natural choice for the developers when choosing the windows and doors for the mansion. As a result, Mumford & Wood were chosen due to our vast experience of working with properties of this style. New sash windows, entrance doors and French doors were installed across the property. Included in this were a selection of our bespoke, signature curved sash windows, that give the property a truly unique appearance.

Nothing complements the Georgian architecture and local area more than timber and following the installation of the new windows and doors, the end result is spectacular. It is not hard to see why the property was so eagerly snapped up by a prospective buyer.
