Our Heritage Casement window is designed to replace original period windows found in listed buildings and in sensitive conservation areas where double glazed products are not appropriate, and where full compliance with modern Building Regulations is not required. The Heritage Casement window is single glazed in the traditional way, using putty and true glazing bars, which are available in a variety of glazing bar sizes and profiles including Gothic, Victorian, Lamb’s Tongue and Queen Anne Ovolo.
Our Heritage Casement is supplied with one coat of primer only. The remaining top coats are to be applied on site by others. The glazing putty must be left to cure for at least two weeks once the product has been installed before painting.
All timber framing is meticulously prepared for painting by state of the art machinery before the primer coat is applied.
Typically in RAL 9003 Signal White but our customers may choose from the RAL Classic swatch.
On request we are able to offer a colour matching service.
We are able to offer a ‘dual finish’ where different colours are desired internally and externally or a ‘mixed finish’ where frames are specified to be contrasting to sashes.
Our Heritage box sash windows are traditionally glazed with single panes of glass using glazing compound (putty) which hold the glass in place.
